Federal Office of Statistic of FB&H is the competent federal authority in charge of statistical work in the Federation, independent regarding the selection of data sources, statistical methods and procedures, decisions relating to the content, form and timing of distribution, on the decisions regarding the protection of the confidentiality of statistical data. The data we are collecting meet with general approval and have wide range of use. Authority of Office is based on the professional qualification of staff. The challenges of virtual society, whom we are faced, demand our permanent development and advanced training of personnel.

The Office is financed by Federation Budget.

The Organization scheme of the Federal Office of Statistics is set up that way that the statistical surveys are carried out through cantonal offices and services situated in the central town of each canton. These offices collect, control and convey data to research section in Sarajevo. The research section practice processing, analysing and publishing statistical data.

The Institute has in total, at the and of the year 2011, 178 employees (43 men and 135 women).

56,18% of 178 employees in the Institute has university degree.

57,78% of female employees in the Institute has university degree.

51,16% of male employees in the Institute has university degree.

As a component of yearly Statistical Program Federal Office of Statistics also have program of publishing acticities.

The price list of the products of Federal Office of Statistics are adopted by the Government and published in the Official Gazette.
